- Founder: Olivier Kamanda
- Olivier is founder and editor emeritus of Foreign Policy Digest. He is a Senior Advisor and Speechwriter for Secrerary of State Hillary Clinton. Formerly a columnist for the Huffington Post on world affairs, he has conducted extensive research on nuclear power technology, regulatory law and proliferation issues. Olivier served as a member of the Obama-Biden Campaign's Defense Policy Committee. In addition he has written on the rule of law in post-conflict societies and transitional justice in central Africa. Prior to founding the Foreign Policy Digest, Olivier was Deputy Campaign Manager for Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler. He also served as a Senior Management Analyst in BearingPoint's Homeland Security Sector.
Olivier has served on a number of boards including the Board of Trustees of Princeton University and the Board of Directors of the Nepalese Children's Education Fund. He is also a Principal of the Truman National Security Project.
Olivier received his B.S.E from Princeton University in Operations Research & Financial Engineering and his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School where he was an executive editor of the Journal of International Law.

Adam R. Benz obtained his undergraduate degree from Princeton University, where he majored in Politics, earning a Certificate in Latin American Studies. Mr. Benz completed his graduate education at the George Washington University, where he received a Juris Doctorate degree from the law school along with a Master’s degree in International Affairs with a double concentration in International Law and International Economics at the Elliott School of International Affairs.
As an undergraduate, Adam worked firsthand alongside indigenous communities in rural Honduras and Belize on economic development projects, in addition to assisting in establishing the first academic exchange between Princeton University and the University of Havana. Since then, Adam has worked and volunteered as a writer and researcher with a number of organizations on topics relating to international law, comparative law, and international affairs, including the United Nations Consultation on Women and the Right to Housing, the Inter-American Dialogue, and the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Center for Human Rights.
As an attorney, Adam worked as an associate at a DC-based law firm specializing in tribal law, federal lobbying, and tribal-state intergovernmental relations, as well as on transnational legal issues, including assisting investigations Latin American-based corporations for potential violations of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Adam is a member of the California and District of Columbia bar associations.
Managing Editor: Robert Friedman - Robert Friedman is an attorney in the Washington D.C. office of Venable LLP. Robert is a non-resident Fellow at the Georgetown Center on National Security and the Law and a Principal in the Truman National Security Project. He also serves as Managing Editor of Foreign Policy Digest.
Previously, Robert was a Law Clerk on the Senate Judiciary Committee staff of Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-VT) where he worked on national security issues and executive and judicial nominations. He also served as an Aide to Congressman Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) and spent time working for the Vice Chair of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Robert served as a member of the Obama-Biden Campaign's Defense Policy Committee.
Robert graduated cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center where he was the Senior Notes Editor for the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law. He received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Emory University, a Master’s in Government from Johns Hopkins University and studied Public International Law and Conflict Resolution at John Cabot University in Rome, Italy.

- Katherine Southwick works in international law and development issues. She mostly grew up in Africa and graduated from Yale College and Yale Law School, where she was co-editor-in-chief of the Yale Human Rights and Development Law Journal. From 2006-2008, Ms. Southwick was a research fellow at Refugees International, a Washington DC-based humanitarian advocacy organization, where she focused on statelessness and conflict issues in Africa.
- Ms. Southwick previously clerked for a federal judge and worked in private practice, in the Office of the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia ,and the U.S. State Department's Office of the Legal Adviser. She has also worked for nongovernmental organizations in India, Thailand, and Uganda, with an emphasis on internal displacement, refugee and asylum issues, and transitional justice. Ms. Southwick has commented on the northern Uganda conflict and other human rights issues in major news media and scholarly publications.

Matthew Lamm graduated from the University of Washington with bachelor degrees in Russian Language and International Studies from the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies, which included studies in Peru, Austria, and Russia. He earned his J.D. at George Washington University Law School, having also studied international human rights law at Oxford University. A member of the District of Columbia and Maryland Bar, Mr. Lamm is also a registered tribal member of the Ogallala Lakota Sioux, Pine Ridge Agency. ASIA:

Jung Hwa Song is a master’s candidate in International Economics and Development at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University. Prior to SAIS, Ms. Song produced and managed online content for "World News with Charles Gibson" and worked as an associate at Diligence LLC, a global risk consulting and corporate intelligence firm. She has also worked at the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, helping to organize conferences while conducting research on U.S.-China energy policy and Chinese urban planning. Ms. Song has conducted extensive field research on Chinese policy toward North Korean border crossers and has written op-eds on U.S.-China-North Korean relations as a Young Scholar at the Center for Strategic International Studies. She has also worked as an editorial assistant to the former director of Korean research at Columbia University, Professor Samuel Kim. Ms. Song received her A.B. from Princeton University and has a certificate in Mandarin Chinese from Tsinghua University in Beijing. EUROPE/RUSSIA:

Annie Verderosa has worked and traveled throughout Europe and Russia. A Stanford University graduate in political science and sociology, she earned a masters degree in international relations from the Free University Berlin, Humboldt University of Berlin and University of Potsdam (Germany) in 2007. Ms. Verderosa’s professional background is in transatlantic business and public policy, with experience bridging the public, private and non-profit sectors. She currently works in business development for UK Trade & Investment at the British Consulate-General in New York, supporting innovative energy and environmental technology companies as they expand to the European market. Ms. Verderosa previously managed research and programs for the international government relations firm Dutko Worldwide, with a particular focus on Central and Eastern Europe, NATO and the EU. She has also been a visiting scholar at German Parliament and the German Council on Foreign Relations in Berlin and associate editor of an Open Society Institute policy journal published in Budapest. Marc Sorel is a third-year graduate student in the four-year JD-MSFS program in law and international relations at Georgetown University. At Georgetown, he is a Research Assistant at the Center on National Security and the Law. He has worked for the U.S. Departments of State, Defense, and Homeland Security, and the United Nations. At the State Department, he joined the U.S. delegation to the June 2009 meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency's Board of Governors in Vienna. Mr. Sorel has commented on public service, national security, and foreign policy in the news media and student leadership training seminars. Teddy Kahn has worked as a reporter in Germany, Argentina, Chile, and Washington DC, writing on a range of international and local issues. He graduated from Harvard University in 2006 where he studied Government and International Relations. As an undergraduate he researched the urban poverty in Buenos Aires in the aftermath of Argentina's economic collapse in 2001. John Lyman completed a Master of Arts degree in European Studies at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands, where he concentrated in missile defense and disarmament treaties. John Lyman earned his bachelor's degree in Political Science with a concentration on non-state actors from Virginia Commonwealth University and is pursuing a second bachelor's in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness. Mr. Lyman has written extensively on military and defense issues and has presented his findings at a variety of academic conferences, including the University of Amersterdam and Virginia Commonwealth University.
